Stepping out of his comfort zone to raise $10,000 through a charity run

Sam Wu, Head of Advancement at SMU Office of Advancement, celebrated his 50th birthday by running 50km over ten days for the University’s biennial SMOO Challenge, raising $10,000, twice his original target, to support bursaries for students in need. Supported by staff, students, and alumni, the event exceeded its goals of 25,000km and $500,000, with a record turnout of more than 1,200 participants.
