SMU and leading digital commerce enabler in Southeast Asia, Synagie, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop continuing education and training programmes. The programmes are specially designed to address the specific talent and skills shortages faced by the technology and eCommerce sector. Over 60 SMU-certified programmes across seven areas of focus will be co-developed by SMU Academy (SMUA), the professional training arm of SMU and Synagie Commerce Academy (SCA). Jack Lim, Executive Director of SMUA, pointed out that local e-commerce sales are expected to reach as high as $13.4 billion in 2026. Business training courses would not only enable relevant companies to improve their employees’ skills and meet business needs, but also allow them to get in touch with more outstanding talents.
