SMU employs VR technology to train data protection professionals

SMU Academy has teamed up with data protection software firm Straits Interactive to incorporate virtual reality (VR) technology in their new certified courses in data protection. The inclusion of VR adds excitement to the learners, whilst allowing them to familiarise themselves with a series of regulations. This mixed learning method will be expanded to all 14 data protection courses offered by the Academy. Executive Director Dr Lim Lai Cheng shared how the Academy is aware of the threat from cyberattacks, and are always seeking new methods in ensuring that data protection professionals.
