The Institute of Service Excellence at SMU (ISES) and the Pudong Innovation Research Institute signed a letter of agreement on Tuesday to develop a user satisfaction measure for services in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park together. SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer said that this agreement was a good way to demonstrate cooperation between academia and the business world, raising the standard of practical research for today’s globalised business environment. Research findings from ISES will be used to develop the park's public services and improve its competitiveness. The two-year programme ends in April 2015.
