Voters will feel unfairly-treated if the WP delays introducing its candidate

SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan commented that the Punggol by-election is a snap election unlike its Hougang counterpart, and that the Worker’s Party (WP) should introduce its candidate as soon as possible rather than waiting until Nomination Day. While Assistant Prof Tan acknowledged that it is not WP’s style to introduce candidates early, it would only benefit them if they let voters know in advance. He suggested that the WP introduce its candidate over the weekend.
