In a commentary, SMU Vice President (Partnerships and Engagement) and Lee Kong Chian Professor of Communication & Technology Professor Lim Sun Sun emphasised the importance of creating a digital world that considers the needs of the elderly. She also stressed the need to support caregivers in helping their ageing parents navigate technology. Prof Lim concluded that designing for the elderly and supporting their caregivers is essential to fostering a fair, inclusive, and forward-looking society in Singapore.
