In a commentary, SMU Vice President (Partnerships and Engagement) and Lee Kong Chian Professor of Communication & Technology Lim Sun Sun noted the growing concerns about how safe social media platforms are for young people, and suggested that Singapore can hold tech companies more responsible for online safety by requiring them to incorporate safety by design principles as a default.
