SMU student Jowen Lim created history by clinching an unprecedented wushu silver at the 2023 Asian Games. On Wednesday [27 September], he won what is also the nation’s first men’s daoshu and gunshu all-round medal at the Games. The medal vindicates his decision to take a year-long leave of absence from SMU since February to train full-time. He will now focus on the 20 to 30 October 2023 World Combat Games in Riyadh and the 16 to 20 November 2023 World Wushu Championships in Texas.
