SMU's Pro Bono Centre organised a public webinar titled “Covid-19: Challenges for Individuals, Families and Businesses” on 2 September. At the webinar, Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong shared that the Government is looking at a simplified liquidation scheme to help pandemic-hit firms. Mr Tong was one of four panellists at the webinar, alongside Law Society of Singapore President Gregory Vijayendran; SMU Vice-Provost for Faculty Matters and Professor of Law Lee Pey Woan; and Trans Family Service Centre (Bedok Reservoir) Director Jermaine Quek.
