Commentary: Can the RCEP save the Singapore economy?

In a commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Law Henry Gao, who is also a member of the World Trade Organisation’s (WTO) Advisory Board on its WTO Chairs Programme, discussed the benefits of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) on Singapore’s economy. He opined that while the RCEP is unlikely to add to Singapore’s trade numbers in the short term, it will be a boon for the economy in the long run.
