XCLR8, with the aim of benefitting the society at large, was among the 10 regional social impact startup winners of the Singtel Group Future Makers 2018. XCLR8 was founded in 2016 by three SMU alumni who met at the SMU Master of Science in Innovation programme. The startup deals with ageing population problems via technology, and has since developed a telemedicine solution with sensor technology that can remotely monitor the movements of elderly patients.
