SMU, SingHealth to train undergraduates in healthcare administration

SMU, in partnership with Singapore Health Services will offer a new Health Economics and Management (HEM) second major in January 2019. The second major is open to first and second year students in AY2018/19. It includes courses on health systems and policy, applied analytics in healthcare management, operations and supply chain management, and medical sociology to equip industry-ready graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective administration and management within the healthcare sector. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SingHealth and SMU at the Singapore Healthcare Management Congress on 14 August.
