Singapore Management University launches new platform that helps job seekers look for opportunities nearby

SMU’s Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC) has launched a one-stop services portal – Wheregotjobs – to help job seekers locate suitable jobs in Singapore using location-based query. Jobseekers would be able to search for jobs by keying in the company name, job title, expected salary, preferred workplace location, job category and employment type. The search results will yield a map showing the number of jobs in the vicinity of the preferred workplace location that match the criteria keyed in by the jobseeker. The person can then apply for a specific job through Jobs Bank, which is owned by SkillsFuture Singapore. LARC has also developed another portal – JobSense – to guide users in their career planning. Users get to explore the important skills required for a particular job and will be recommended suitable jobs based on the skills they possess.
