Heartland boy is happy to invest and make losses

SMU School of Information Systems graduate Lim Dingjun was featured in a Straits Times article on young investors where he shared his investment plans, investing strategy, his best investment move and biggest investing mistake, as well as how he manages his portfolio. Mr Lim, a settlement executive at PetroChina International, believes strongly that it's not where you come from that shapes you, nor is it a matter of family wealth. "It boils down to our personal choices - spending, saving and investing - and our discipline to stay committed to those choices," he said. Mr Lim plans to continue trading in forex, adding that the only industry he has evaluated and decided not to go into is shipping.
