SMU's Living Analytics Research Centre recently launched a news aggregator, which allows users to search for news related to the General Election among the mainstream media and blogs. Some issues which have generated high online traction are topics on the cost of living and immigration policies. It was also noted that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore Democratic Party's Chee Soon Juan and independent candidate Han Hui Hui were the top few candidates who generated the highest volume of discussion on Twitter.
