In an advertorial on Ngee Ann Kongsi's 170th anniversary, SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer thanked Ngee Ann Kongsi for its generous contributions to SMU. He highlighted how a 300-seater conference hall at SMU was named in perpetuity the Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium in 2007, and the launch of the Ngee Ann Kongsi Annual Lecture Series in recognition of its donation. More recently, they have made an invaluable donation to the Kwa Geok Choo Law Library, and also set up the Kwa Geok Choo Top Law Student Award. Professor De Meyer said: “The Ngee Ann Kongsi's impactful partnership with SMU enables current and future generations of SMU students to enjoy a holistic and enriching education.”
