At a conference on how positive attitudes and experiences can generate constructive solutions in society, organised by the Behavioural Sciences Institute (BSI) at SMU, Minister of State for National Development Dr Maliki Osman said that when communities connect with and trust each other, disputes between neighbours can be avoided. He also highlighted that it was important for society to start looking at things from a positive angle even as the Government works to address negative sentiments. Among the conference speakers were BSI Director Professor David Chan and Professor Tommy Koh, Ambassador-at-Large.
