In a commentary commemorating Singapore's National Day, SMU Vice-President (Business Development and External Relations), Business Families Institute Academic Director and Associate Professor of Finance Annie Koh took the opportunity to celebrate the success of some of Singapore's home-grown brands which have not only played a part in our nation-building but also put the Republic's name on the global stage. She noted that from fashion, food, health care, lifestyle, hotels and resorts to retail and property, these brands have demonstrated pioneering spirit and surmounted challenges, bagging accolades and awards along the way. Some examples cited by Associate Prof Koh included Charles & Keith and OSIM.
