SMU develops app that can improve visitor’s theme park experience

A team of researchers from SMU’s Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC) has developed an app that can allow visitors to cover more attractions than the average visitor in the Universal Studios theme park at Resorts World Sentosa. This is because users can find out when performances will be held and the attractions available, so that they are better able to plan their itinerary. The app can also guide users to their next destination within the theme park based on their current location. The app is also beneficial to the theme park as it can promote an attraction that has fewer visitors. It is believed that eventually, theme parks that use such an app can better manage the crowd through the app.
