Nectary Studio launches second mobile App, Guess The Word SG after FlashWants

“I founded Nectary Studio, a technology-based startup, with 2 other SMU undergraduates (Scott NG, LKCSB & Eve LAW, SOE) in 2013. Nectary Studio is an idea factory that aims to design fun solutions that provide an intuitive experience for our clients. We have received tremendous support by SMU Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) and funded by Spring-ACE” ,says Co-Founder LEE Xiang Rui (SIS).

Guess The Word SG is a game application that I have created with my co-founders over the December Holiday. We wanted to help Singaporeans to appreciate their roots and understand the unique culture on this little island. Hence, we decided to develop this educational game that is tailor made for Singaporeans. Users will get to learn more about Singapore’s hawker food, memories from the 90s and even phrases that Singaporeans used. Guess The Word SG is now available on iOS and Android Play Store. It has received more than 1000 downloads in less than a week and positive reviews from the users. It is even featured on the Apple Store on the first day of release.

My company also has launched our very first product, FlashWants, in early November. FlashWants is a social network that lets people broadcast their wants and also discover the desires of their friends. It is designed to be the trigger for meet ups, bringing all of us closer to friends via authentic wants. We have more than 600 users and we are aiming to bring FlashWants to the international stage. FlashWants has been featured on various news press such as Lianhe Zaobao, vulcanpost.com and theindependent.sg.
