SMU undergraduates Duong Hoang Viet (Viet) and Nguyen Dinh Hong Duong (Duong) are among the growing group of Vietnamese who have come to Singapore to study. Viet is doing a double-degree programme in business administration and social sciences, while Duong is studying economics.  Duong hopes to settle down here with her Singaporean boyfriend after graduation, while Viet hopes to work in Singapore after graduating and observe economic developments in Vietnam at the same time. He does not rule out the possibility of returning to his home country if there are opportunities for advancement.
