Singapore is increasing its exchanges with Kashgar (China) as a way to deepen understanding between both countries. One example is SMU’s project in Kashgar, where its students have set up three cultural centres in the area to help preserve ethnic cultures there. SMU has also started another project in Kashgar to teach English to university students.
