Commenting on the departures of Francis Lim Pan Hong and Mohd Rasi Taib from NTUC's Central Committee, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan was of the opinion that there was a need to quicken the pace of leadership change for the union, and that it was necessary to ascertain if replacements had the same capabilities as the two members who had quit.
