Commodity trading firm Olam International said that its complex business – which is spread across geographies and different stages of the supply chain – makes it a prime target for short sellers. This is according to its CEO Sunny Verghese, who was speaking at an anniversary event of the International Trading Institute at SMU. Mr Verghese believes that Olam also fulfils many other criteria for short-selling, including having a high free float and trading liquidity.
