Chicken rice chosen as food that best represents S’pore

A total of 1,079 students from SMU, NUS and NTU were asked to name a food that best represented the country, as part of the Tastes of Yesteryear Campaign to encourage them to appreciate Singapore’s food heritage. Chicken rice topped the list, followed by chilli crab, laksa, rojak, and char kway teow.
