Desmond Lim: I’m okay with Jeyaretnam lobbying for votes at my rally

SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan commented that Reform Party candidate Kenneth Jeyeretnam’s decision on whether to accept Singapore Democratic Alliance candidate Desmond Lim’s invitation to attend his rally would have no impact on the by-election results. This is because neither of them are considered serious contenders. However, he commented that such a ludicrous arrangement would be political suicide for both candidates, as residents would not give their votes to them.
