On the Punggol East by-election, SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that a four-cornered fight may not necessarily happen. He said that in addition to the Singapore Democratic Party, the Reform Party may also withdraw to avoid criticisms. He added that regardless of whether it is a three or four-cornered fight, the election will be a two-horse race between the People’s Action Party and Worker’s Party.
