SMU undergraduate Gary Yeo won the men's 100m to clinch Singapore's first gold at the ASEAN University Games in Vientiane, Laos, on 15 December with 10.44 seconds, beating Malaysia's Hadi Mohd Noor Imran (10.56s). Yeo's time is a personal best and the fourth-fastest in Singapore’s history.
