SMU has received a Gold Award in the Singapore HEALTH Award 2012.
The Award is presented every two years to organisations with workplace health promotion programmes to improve employee health and wellbeing. In 2010 SMU received a Silver Award. Winning Gold follows a healthy dose of wellness initiatives, dispensed by the tireless WOW team. While continuing with its staple diet of fortnightly lunch talks, health screenings and exercise programmes, WOW upped the ante in 2012 with SMU’s inaugural Amazing Race which drew a total 80 participants in of 16 teams.
Ultimately, the staff and faculty members are the ones who make it all happen. Contributing to the golden effort were senior management and leaders at all levels, supporting their staff’s participation and taking part in many events themselves. Special thanks go to the WOW team, who unreservedly gave their time and whole-hearted effort in serving the community.
