MP Baey Yam Keng follows Foo Mee Har by stepping down from day job to better serve the community

SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan commented that the move by MPs Baey Yam Keng and Foo Mee Har of quitting their day jobs to better serve the community was laudable. It would also result in residents having higher expectations of their MPs. However, Assistant Prof Tan said that this did not mean that more MPs would need to become full-time MPs.
