The eurozone debt crisis is expected to dominate discussions when government leaders and businessmen meet at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week. Experts say China in particular could play an increasingly important role at such international forums and added that China could weigh in on the debt issue, but it is unlikely to play saviour to the world. Dean of Office of Executive and Professional Education at SMU, Annie Koh said: "China is very clear: 'We are not ready to play with the big boys; I will allow my currency to be fully convertible when I am ready; my financial system we cannot hit above our weight now.'? Dr Koh said that the world economy could sink into deeper trouble if there is no definitive resolution on the debt crisis within the next six months.
