Professor Yeo Tiong Min was appointed as a Professorial Fellow by the Singapore Institue of Legal Education. The title of Professorial Fellow is conferred by the Institute in recognition of academic quality and demonstrated practical experience. It seeks to recognise academics who also practise, appear in court as amicus curiae, do probono work or whose works have had significant influence in the practice of law. In short, Professorial Fellows are recognised as leaders not only acadically, but also professionally. For the non-academics, the title of Professorial Fellow is ordinarily conferred on Senior Counsel or corporate lawyers of equivalent standing.
