Foreigners at the helm

Three of the four universities here are led by foreigners such as Swedish professor Bertil Andersson, president-designate for NTU; Professor Arnoud De Meyer, a Belgian, who heads SMU; and Prof Thomas Magnanti, an American, who is the founding president of the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
