S'pore needs academic talent pool of its own

SMU President, Professor Howard Hunter, said a strong base of home-grown academics is essential for Singapore's progress as a knowledge hub. After stepping down as President at the end of this month, he will continue at SMU on a three-year contract as a law professor.
