64.6% Internet usage in Malaysia

Associate Professor Bridget Welsh commented, during a lecture series on Democratic Dreams in Asia: Opportunities and Obstacles organised by the Penang-based Socio-Economic & Environmental Research Institute, that the Internet provided a platform for dialogue and discussion and played an important role in the general elections of both Singapore and Malaysia.
