In terms of manpower development initiatives, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) recently supported the industry-initiated partnership between SMU's International Trading Institute (ITI@SMU) and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) to develop and deliver shipping-related courses such as the ICS-ITI Professional Shipping Programme.
