All three universities have shelved plans for fee hikes when they welcome freshmen in August. On increasing financial aid to students, dean of students, Associate Professor Low Aik Meng, said that SMU's qualifying criteria for financial aid are not set in stone, an open-door policy is adopted where students can explore with the university the financial options most appropriate for their needs.
