“Remember.For.Me.”, a new nationwide survey by SMU, examined public awareness, stigma and perceptions of support for persons living with dementia in Singapore. Led by Rosie Ching, SMU Principal Lecturer of Statistics, together with 89 undergraduates, the initiative integrated statistical learning with societal engagement and impact through a student-led statistics project. Ms Ching said that data and insights gained from three runs of “Remember.For.Me.” offer a valuable snapshot of Singapore’s evolving dementia landscape. She added that the project reflected how statistics might serve the nation by helping Singapore become more inclusive as it confronts the realities of a super-aged society.
