SMU alumna Lauren Koek was named one of 25 recipients of the Singapore Girls in Tech 2025, an initiative by the Singapore Computer Society and IMDA in collaboration with SG Women in Tech, which celebrates outstanding young women in technology. Lauren – majored in Computing and Law at SMU’s School of Computing and Information Systems and completed a second major in Innovation and Psychology at SMU’s College of Integrative Studies – co-developed FLEX Guide, a digital platform introduced at the National Youth Council’s Youth Policy Forum 2024 and later adopted by the CPF Board to enhance youths’ financial literacy. She also founded Future Lawyers, a non-profit with chapters in Singapore and Canada that promotes dialogue on legal technology. Passionate about the intersection of law and tech, Lauren plans to pursue a Juris Doctor programme at SMU to advance innovation and governance in the legal sector.
