SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer wrote an article which argued that openness and multiculturalism are two major assets to succeed in a globalised world, for both companies and educational institutions alike. He discussed why we have seen increasing "globalisation" of studies over the past ten years, whether an international mindset can be learned, the benefits of international partnerships between universities, and the challenges facing university presidents in the future.
