Scrapping PSLE?

Journalist Law Chia Keng wrote about the Handbook on Inequality, Poverty and Unmet Social Needs in Singapore that was published by SMU’s Lien Centre for Social Innovation in March this year. He highlighted that in the handbook, experts had suggested five measures to help those in poverty. These included seamless social assistance, wage increases, imposing higher taxes on the rich, allowing housewives and the unemployed to use their CPF savings as a financial cushion, as well as doing away with the Primary School Leaving Examinations.
