Singapore first needs to build a complete eco-system in order to become Asia’s human capital hub

SMU Human Capital Leadership Institute Chief Executive Director Kwan Chee Wei said that in order for Singapore to become a human capital hub in Asia, it would first need to build an ecosystem, which includes attracting big firms to set up headquarters and training centres in the country. Mr Kwan observed that such an ecosystem has already been gradually built up in Singapore, and that this cannot be easily replicated by other countries. He also referred to the Human Capital Leadership Institute as playing a key role in the development of the ecosystem.
