Many MPs raised concerns of who should regulate LTA?

SMU Assistant Professor of Law and Nominated MP Eugene Tan raised a question in parliament to ask who should regulate LTA, to ensure that it will keep its promise of regulating the public transport operators. He also asked Minister Lui Tuck Yew about the kind of punishments served to LTA if they failed in the course of not being able to do so. In addition, he raised the issue of conflicting interests as LTA is both a public transport system planner and also supervises the public transport system.
