Liberal arts for pragmatists

Singapore universities have adopted elements of the liberal arts education into their curricula to different extents. The University Scholars Programme at Singapore Management University was inspired by the liberal arts college programmes in the United States. NUS will continue to look into the issue of a liberal arts education in the context of Singapore.
