One doesn't have to be too courteous with strangers?

The study found that Singaporeans were relatively courteous at school, the workplace and home but things change when they are with strangers. When asked if this was due to Singapore's fast-paced society, SMU Associate Professor Kirpal Singh says Singapore should not use the high stress of life here or being in a crowded environment as excuses for ungracious behaviour.
