Speaking at the Dentons Rodyk Dialogue 2026 held on 28 October 2026 at SMU’s Yong Pung How School of Law, SMU Yong Pung How Professor of Law Dan Puchniak said that incorporating in Singapore does not shield companies from foreign scrutiny. Citing the experiences of social media company TikTok and fast-fashion retailer Shein, Prof Puchniak noted that a company’s supply chains, ownership structures and location of data storage increasingly matter.
