At the launch of Law Awareness Weeks @ CDC (LAW@CDC) 2026 on 3 October 2026, a team of SMU students unveiled See-Kaki, an innovative platform that was one of the winning student projects showcased at the event. Realising that online infographics and complex forms about legal information were often unintelligible to screen readers — software which converts content on a screen into speech or Braille for visually impaired individuals — SMU students Jace Bong, Kristen Ng, Lim Chia Yeh, and Sean Cheng created See-Kaki to bridge this gap. The platform features an artificial intelligence (AI) voice chatbot that asks questions, guides visually impaired individuals step-by-step through the employment claim process, and automatically assists them with filling out and submitting the necessary forms.
