SMU alumna Anne Saphrin Alex Sathyan honed her leadership during her time in SMU. Anne made her mark in many fields beyond education, including community service and leadership roles in student organisations. She began her journey as a volunteer with Project Thoon IV during her first year at the university, and assumed leadership of the project the very next year. She also served as the president of the 'Tamilah' organisation from 2023 to 2024, and re-staged the play 'Athiyayam', which had not been performed for five years.
