SMU alumna Nurulasyiqah Mohd Taha has played boccia for 19 years. Besides being proficient in the sport, she is also conversational in five languages and has obtained a SMU Master of IT in Business (MITB). She obtained the degree while she was unable to travel abroad for competitions due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. She wanted to learn more about data analysis after suggesting to her teammates that they could analyse videos of their boccia matches to help them improve. Nurulasyiqah will be competing at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou from 22-28 October 2023. She shared how her growth mindset keeps her going in tough times.
