Speaking virtually at a panel discussion during the Online Harms Symposium at SMU on 25 September, SMU Professor of Communication & Technology and Vice President of Partnerships and Engagement Lim Sun Sun noted that victims of online harms often do not report their cases as they feel doing so would be futile, or their experiences would be trivialised by the people around them. She also explained why normalising online harms is an unhealthy attitude to take.
